Sharvek Naidu has been appointed as the new Managing Partner of KPMG Fiji, effective January 1. He takes over from Lisa Apted, who has been at the helm since 2020 and will remain with the firm in her role as Partner for Business and Tax Advisory.

Naidu, who currently leads the Audit and Fiji Dynamix divisions, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and enthusiasm about furthering the accomplishments of KPMG Fiji. Beginning his career at KPMG’s Lautoka office in 1997, he later expanded his professional journey in Australia, amassing over 25 years of experience not only in Fiji but also across the Pacific, India, and Australia.

Naomi Mitchell, KPMG Australia’s National Managing Partner for Mid-Market & Private, praised Naidu for his leadership skills and strategic insights. She noted his pivotal role in establishing the Fiji-based FDX delivery centre, which now supports KPMG Australia with a workforce of around 200. Mitchell also acknowledged Apted’s leadership during a period of substantial growth for the firm.

With previous experience as Director at KPMG Global Services in Delhi, Naidu played a crucial role in creating an offshoring practice that employed over 150 staff members. He has expressed appreciation for his family’s support as he manages responsibilities between Fiji and Australia.

In addition to his professional duties, Naidu holds the presidency of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and participates in various professional and community initiatives, reflecting his dedication to both the industry and societal development. His appointment marks a promising new chapter for KPMG Fiji, poised for growth while ensuring continuity and innovation through his extensive experience and regional and international connections.
