The match started with Suva Grammar School making an immediate impact by scoring a converted try, taking an early lead of 7-0. Marist Brothers High School quickly countered with an impressive try of their own, bringing the score to 7-7.
In the 18th minute, Marist Brothers pulled ahead with another converted try, establishing a 14-7 advantage. However, Suva Grammar responded strongly, scoring a try and conversion to equalize the score at 14-all.
Marist Brothers regained their lead with an unconverted try, nudging ahead 19-14. But Suva Grammar answered back, scoring another try, which tied the game once again at 19-all by halftime.
The second half began with Marist Brothers scoring an unconverted try in the 7th minute, leading 24-19. Yet, Suva Grammar was not finished. They responded with a converted try in the 11th minute, taking the lead at 26-24.
In the final moments of the match, Suva Grammar solidified their hard-earned victory by scoring one last converted try, concluding the game with a score of 31-24.
