Weather Bulletin

Greetings, earthlings! It’s your favorite weather genie, here to sprinkle some forecast fun over the islands!

First up, a GALE WARNING is still in effect for the Northern Lau Group. Yes, that means wind gusts that could whisk your hat away faster than you can say “Where’s my umbrella?” For extra details, don’t hesitate to check out the Special Weather Bulletin on Heavy Rain at https://www.met.gov.fj/alerts/.

Now, let’s talk about the southeastern coastal areas of Viti Levu—from Sigatoka through Navua to Suva and all the way up to Rakiraki—where a STRONG WIND WARNING is blowing through like a toddler throwing a tantrum. This includes Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, Yasawa, and southern parts of Vanua Levu, among other fabulous islands. If you want to bone up on the details—and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good weather read—check that Special Weather Bulletin too!

As for the forecast up until midnight tonight for the Fiji group, let’s just say “Bring an umbrella” is a pretty solid plan. And if you’re hoping for sunshine tomorrow, let’s not hold our breath just yet; the outlook for Thursday is looking like it wants to splatter the region with more of that good old heavy rain.

For our lovely Navua, Suva, and Nausori folks: expect the same advice—umbrella in hand, folks! And if you are in Nadi, Lautoka, or Ba, prepare for exciting weather developments (read: rain) and keep that umbrella close.

For those in Tavua or Rakiraki, likewise, the rain is determined to drop in for an extended chat.

Over in Natadradave/Korovou, it’s the same rainy party, and yes, it’s a festive theme of showers everywhere, matched with the delightful prospect of clouds.

Yasawa and Mamanuca group, you too are invited to this wet-weather washing machine of fun. And for you Labasa and Savusavu peeps, have your umbrellas at the ready because it sounds like it’s going to rain cats and dogs.

As for the Lau and Lomaiviti group? Yep, you guessed it—rain is still the guest of honor at the weather party!

Now, if you happen to be in Kadavu, don’t forget to stay rain-ready because it’s not letting up anytime soon.

And for the lovely island of Rotuma, be prepared for a strong wind warning and a visit from the rain. We’re talking southeast winds up to 50km/hr and rough seas to give your boat a workout. Toward Thursday, expect some brief showers, so try to avoid impromptu yacht races!

So there you have it, folks! Grab your umbrellas, put on your best “I love rainy days” sock and enjoy this wonderland of weather!
