Weather Update
Make sure you hold onto your hats, folks! If you’re in the Northern Lau Group, a gale warning is still in effect, and not the kind of gale that’s associated with a hearty laugh, but the type that might just sweep you off your feet! For more details that could blow your mind, check out the Special Weather Bulletin on Heavy Rain at the NWFC website.
For those along the southeastern coasts of Viti Levu — from Sigatoka to Suva and beyond — a strong wind warning is in play, so don’t go attempting to fly a kite unless you enjoy the thrill of a close encounter with the local trees! The same goes for Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, Yasawa, and the southern territories of Vanua Levu; it’s pretty breezy, so grab those windbreakers!
Heavy Rain? Oh, we’ve got that in spades for the interior and southeastern parts of Viti Levu, as well as Beqa, Vatulele, and more regions, which are all getting ready for a rather wet celebration. If you’re dreaming of the sunshine, it might just need an umbrella, too! You can always consult the Special Weather Bulletin for more updates — you know where to find it!
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast, just know it’s all about that sweet, sweet heavy rain romance. For specific areas like Navua, Suva, Nadi, and Lautoka, make sure you’re well-informed by checking what the meteorological wizards at NWFC have to say.
And if you’re in Tavua, Rakiraki, Natadradave, or Korovou, brace yourself — the rain’s making a grand entrance there, too! As for the lovely Yasawa and Mamanuca group, well, it looks like you’re on the same soggy boat.
Labasa, Savusavu, Lau, and the Lomaiviti group, you’re not left out of this splashy weather either. And for all the adventurous souls in Kadavu and Rotuma, the windy whims are coming your way!
Speaking of Rotuma, watch out for southeast winds reaching up to 50 km/h that could make your hairdo a wild mess! It’s a mixed bag of occasional heavy showers, thunderstorms, and a promise of calmer weather tomorrow — we’ll have to see if Mother Nature keeps her word.
So grab those umbrellas, stay away from under tall trees, and enjoy the dramatic show that the skies have prepared for us. Stay dry, and keep those good vibes flowing despite the weather!
