A heavy rain warning is currently in effect for Viti Levu, the Yasawa and Mamanuca islands, Kadavu, as well as nearby smaller islands, Moala, and the Southern Lau Group. Additionally, a flash flood alert has been issued for all low-lying areas and regions prone to flash floods in Viti Levu.

According to the Nadi Weather Office, a trough of low pressure is situated just south of the group, bringing cloudy conditions to most parts of the country. Another active trough of low pressure with accompanying clouds and rain is anticipated to impact the area starting tonight. This localized heavy rain could cause flash flooding in susceptible low-lying regions.
