A heavy rain warning is currently in effect for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca groups, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands, including Moala and the Southern Lau Group.
Additionally, a flash flood alert has been issued for all low-lying and flood-prone regions of Viti Levu.
According to the Nadi Weather Office, a trough of low pressure is positioned just south of the group, bringing cloud cover and affecting many areas across the country.
Another active trough of low pressure, along with associated clouds and rainfall, is anticipated to impact the region starting tonight.
Localized heavy rainfall could result in flash flooding, particularly in low-lying areas.
