Situation: It seems that the weather is in a relaxed state, lounging in a trough of low pressure over the southern parts of the country, while a slightly weaker trough is taking its time over the northern parts. These weather systems are feeling quite sociable, leading to some cloud cover and the occasional shower. Expect this cozy meet-up to stick around for the next few days!

Forecast until midnight tomorrow for Fiji:
Prepare your umbrellas, folks, because occasional showers and a few thunderstorms are rolling in for most areas. We might even see some severe thunderstorms strutting their stuff in the afternoon or evening, especially on Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. If you’re in low-lying or flood-prone areas, keep an eye on those clouds—they might get a tad too friendly and lead to flash flooding.

Expect moderate north to southeast winds and seas that are, well, moderate. So, leave the surfboard at home unless you’re really in the mood for a mild adventure!

Outlook for Monday: The clouds have decided to throw a party, especially over the southern and eastern parts of Viti Levu, from Sigatoka to Suva and beyond. Showers are likely in this region, as well as some company from thunderstorms later in the day. Meanwhile, the rest of the islands will be having their own showering sessions with the same thunderous guests.

For Navua/Suva/Nausori:
Your weekend forecast includes occasional showers and the excitement of a few thunderstorms, followed by some heavy rain to keep things interesting. Monday won’t be much different—expect cloudy periods and, yes, some showers.

For Nadi/Lautoka/Ba:
Fine weather will try to have the spotlight, but it might be interrupted by afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms that bring heavy falls. Tomorrow? A cloudy mix with occasional showers could be in store for you.

For Sigatoka/Coral Coast:
Prepare for a mix of occasional showers and some playful thunderstorms. On Monday, expect those cheeky clouds to bring you more showers.

For Tavua/Rakiraki:
Enjoy a fine day, but don’t be surprised by afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms with hefty rainfall making a grand entrance. On Monday, those clouds will put on a show with some showers, too.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca group:
Everything looks fine, but keep your raincoat handy for afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls. Tomorrow will be cloudy with more showers to follow.

For Labasa:
A generally fine day is expected, but those afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms might crash the party. Enjoy your Monday, as it too will feature the same surprise guests.

For Savusavu:
Occasional showers and a few thunderstorms are on the menu, along with some potentially intense heavy falls. On Monday, it looks cloudy with some showers continuing the theme.

For Lau/Lomaiviti:
Expect more of those occasional showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls. Monday will be cloudy with a similar shower forecast.

For Kadavu:
Get ready for a little sprinkling of occasional showers and thunderstorms, with heavy falls running the show. Cloudy periods with some showers are set for Monday.

For Rotuma:
Currently blessed with fine weather, but brief showers will sneak in later today. Those moderate easterly winds should keep you on your feet. Expect a few clouds and showers for the outlook on Monday, plus the potential of isolated thunderstorms.

So, there you have it, folks! Grab an umbrella, stay cautious with those thunderstorms, and remember: when it rains, you can always dance!
