Weather Forecast

Attention, all weather enthusiasts! It seems like the thunderstorm front that decided to throw a raucous party in Macuata and northern Bua has now packed its bags and left the building—hopefully a bit less wet than when it arrived.

Currently, a charming southeast wind is blowing over Fiji, making it feel like nature’s way of giving us a gentle nudge. Keep an eye out, though! A trough of low pressure is expected to develop nearby on Monday, and we all know how those can stir things up, like an unexpected dance-off at a wedding.

For the rest of today and into tomorrow across the Fiji group, expect a bouquet of cloudy periods with some sprinkled showers trying to join the party in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Ra-Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and southern Bua province—plus Taveuni and the nearby islands have RSVP’d too! Kadavu and its island buddies are slated for some cloud decoration with brief showers but should generally be playing it cool.

As for the rest of us, expect clear skies playing hide-and-seek with the occasional afternoon or evening shower. But don’t be too alarmed! Isolated thunderstorms may crash the party, especially in the interior, eastern, and northern parts of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Just remember, heavy falls in these areas could lead to a minor splashdown if you’re in a flood-prone zone—so maybe don’t wear your best shoes.

Now let’s glance at your favorite towns:

Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect a mix of clouds and some showers, with the potential for unexpected thunderstorms—kind of like an awkward surprise party! Temperature: Min 24, Max 32.

Natadradave/Korovou: Just like the others, some clouds and showers knocking on the door. Min: 24, Max: 32.

Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Fine weather seems to be the theme, but keep an umbrella handy for the late-afternoon dance of showers. Min: 24, Max: 31.

Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Sunshine will try to steal the show, but afternoon showers might drop in uninvited. Min: 24, Max: 33.

Tavua/Rakiraki: Similar vibes—fine weather plus the chance of some sneaky afternoon showers. Min: 25, Max: 33.

Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Generally fine, with a chance of afternoon guests (showers again). Min: 25, Max: 33.

Labasa: Hold onto your hats for those unexpected thunderstorms! Min: 24, Max: 34.

Savusavu: Clouds are taking center stage, with showers and thunderstorms in the mix. Min: 25, Max: 32.

Nabouwalu: Clouds in attendance with some showers. Min: 24, Max: 31.

Taveuni: Clouds sticking around for the show with some showers as a surprise guest. Min: 24, Max: 33.

Lau and Lomaiviti group: Clouds are here too, with brief showers expected. Min: 24, Max: 32.

Kadavu: Keeping it casual with cloudy periods and brief showers. Min: 24, Max: 32.

Rotuma: Conditions a bit more dramatic with a westerly wind and clouds from the low-pressure trough but nothing too alarming. Min: 25, Max: 30.

Outlook for Monday: More cloud cover and showers will continue to grace our shores, so keep those umbrellas at the ready! Until next time, stay dry (or wet, depending on your mood) and enjoy our tropical paradise!
