Many regions across the country are grappling with flooding and homes inundated due to heavy rainfall overnight in the Eastern Division. In Wailoku, residences remain underwater, while some residents are working to clear debris.
The Fiji Meteorological Services reported that the Eastern Division is still experiencing significant rainfall, which has led to flash flooding in numerous low-lying areas. The Nadi Weather Office attributed the adverse weather to a trough of low pressure hovering over Fiji, which is gradually shifting eastward.
Showers linked to this system are expected to continue in affected areas until later today. Other divisions may see partly cloudy skies with sporadic showers.
Stay tuned for further updates.
