Three players have been removed from the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select Sevens team and replaced with athletes from the national squad. The finalized roster, consisting of 14 players, was determined following discussions between Mike Friday and the national men’s head coach, Osea Kolinisau, who also serves as the tournament ambassador this year.
The updated team features renowned double Olympic gold medallist Jerry Tuwai alongside other talented players including Rosko Specman, Harry McNulty, Luke Treharne, Matai Leuta, Alexandre Odinga, Jope Tikoilepanoni, Iliavi Masori, Iowane Teba, and Rauto Vakadranu. The newly announced players include Pilipo Bukayaro, Iowane Teba, Lasaro Bogisa, Manueli Maisamoa, and Ilikimi Torosi.
The McDonald’s Mike Friday Select Sevens team will compete in Pool D against the Aussie Select Sevens, Devo Babas, and Taikita Brothers 7s.
