He expressed gratitude to students who are considering the maritime field as a career choice, noting the urgent need for more qualified personnel in shipping operations, which currently face challenges in recruitment.
The minister underscored that the annual celebration serves to highlight the vital importance of the maritime industry, with a focus on safety, innovation, and sustainability. The theme for this year, “Navigating the Future: Safety First,” reflects the crucial role of safety in advancing toward a more secure and sustainable maritime future.
