Three fires have been reported in the Western Division over the past two days. According to police, the first incident occurred in Etatoko, Ba, where a farmhouse owned by a 42-year-old man was completely destroyed, including its contents. The house was unoccupied at the time.

The second incident took place on August 1st in Qallau, Rakiraki, where a storage room containing farming materials and tools was destroyed by fire. The property owner is currently residing overseas.

The third fire occurred in Natabua, Lautoka, where a two-story house owned by a 70-year-old was partially damaged.

The causes of all three fires remain under investigation, with joint efforts from the police and the National Fire Authority. Authorities remind property owners to conduct thorough fire hazard checks before leaving their homes, especially with the increased activity expected over the weekend.
