Waisale Serevi, the legendary rugby player, is recovering well after undergoing cardiac treatment in India. In a recent social media update, Serevi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka as well as his family and friends for their support and prayers during his health journey.
“I feel much better and stronger now and I am looking forward to finishing the year strong,” he shared. Serevi also noted his appreciation to God for guidance and protection in his life and that of his family.
Serevi explained that he experienced pain in his back and chest, prompting him to visit the hospital. Following advice from the President of India Rugby, he underwent comprehensive medical tests, including assessments of his heart, kidneys, lungs, and blood. Fortunately, all results returned negative, and he confirmed that he did not require surgery, which he considers a blessing.
He once again thanked Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and expressed heartfelt appreciation to his friends and family for their unwavering support and prayers. Earlier reports from Manipal Hospital indicated that Serevi had minor coronary artery disease but was stable and expected to be moved from the ICU shortly.
