Senior Woman Faces Court Over Alleged Drug Possession Scandal

A woman in her 60s appeared in Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday facing charges of illegal drug possession. She has been accused of one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs. According to police, a raid carried out by the Lautoka Serious Organised Crime and Intel Unit at her residence on Sunday resulted in the seizure of white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine, along with dried leaves thought to be marijuana. The case has been adjourned for mention later today.
