Senior Woman Charged in Major Drug Bust

A woman in her 60s appeared at the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday facing charges related to the possession of illegal drugs. She has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit substances. According to police, a raid executed by the Lautoka Serious Organised Crime and Intel Unit at her residence on Sunday resulted in the seizure of white crystals that are suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves believed to be marijuana. The case has been scheduled for further mention later today.
