The Vodafone Cup national semifinals are set to take place this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. Following last weekend’s quarterfinals, which eliminated notable teams such as the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the Saru Dragons, the matchups are now in place.
In one semifinal, the Waitaci Titans will compete against the Navy Albatross, who advanced by defeating the defending champions, Saru Dragons, 27-18. In the other semifinal, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs will meet the Vusu Raiders, both teams vying for a chance to reach the finals.
FNRL Executive Chairman Akuila Masi expressed his excitement about the upcoming matches, stating, “Last weekend was a spectacle of rugby league talent, and we’re anticipating the semi-finals will raise the bar even higher. We invite everyone to come and experience the thrill and cheer on their favorite teams.”
Additionally, the FNRL Women’s Premiership semi-finals will occur simultaneously, featuring the Lami Steelers against the Yasawa Saints and the Namoli West Tigers competing against the Police Sharks. This double-header is set to deliver a full day of rugby league action for fans in Nausori.
