The Vodafone Cup national semifinals are set to take place this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The match-ups emerge after last weekend’s quarterfinals, which eliminated notable teams such as the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the Saru Dragons from the tournament.
The Waitaci Titans will compete against the Navy Albatross, who earned their spot by defeating the defending champions, Saru Dragons, with a score of 27-18. In another exciting match, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs will go head-to-head with the Vusu Raiders, both teams vying for a chance to advance to the Finals.
FNRL Executive Chairman Akuila Masi expressed his excitement for the forthcoming games, stating, “Last weekend showcased remarkable rugby league talent, and we expect the semi-finals to elevate the excitement even further. We encourage everyone to come out and support their favorite teams.”
Additionally, the FNRL Women’s Premiership semi-finals will be held simultaneously, featuring the Lami Steelers facing off against the Yasawa Saints, and the Namoli West Tigers competing against the Police Sharks. This double-header promises an entire day filled with thrilling rugby league action for fans in Nausori.
