The India-Fiji T20 Rolling Trophy 2024, organized by the High Commission of India in collaboration with the Suva Cricket Association, achieved significant success at Albert Park, Suva on Saturday.
In the opening semi-final, the Western Lions claimed victory over Cicia by 7 wickets. Cicia batted first, scoring 68 runs and losing all their wickets. Taroka was the standout player for Cicia, scoring 12 runs off 11 balls. For the Western Lions, Prageeth Raj was the top bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 15 runs.
In the second semi-final, Police triumphed over Army by 47 runs. Police set a challenging total of 226 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, with Jone Wesele delivering an impressive performance with 96 runs off 47 balls. Vuli Tuwai was the leading wicket-taker for the Army, claiming 1 wicket for 13 runs.
The final is scheduled for next Saturday at 2 pm, where the Western Lions will face off against Police in what promises to be an exhilarating battle for the coveted trophy.
