Traffic investigators are appealing to the public to help identify a man who was fatally injured in a road accident in the Southern Division on the morning of October 1st. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana reported that the victim, believed to be in his late 20s, was found sleeping in the middle of Queens Road near Talenaua, Navua, when he was hit by a vehicle operated by a 36-year-old driver around 1 a.m.
Despite efforts to save him, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Navua Hospital. Currently, police are conducting ongoing investigations, but the man’s identity remains unclear. Describing him as an i-taukei male, authorities have released photos of his clothing and a distinctive tattoo on his left arm in hopes that someone may recognize him and provide assistance.
