Scotland Women’s Team Unveils Bold Changes Ahead of Fijiana Clash!

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has confirmed eight changes to the starting lineup and one positional adjustment for their concluding Vodafone Series match against Fijiana, scheduled for Sunday.

Anne Young and Elliann Clarke are set to make their first appearances as starters, taking on the roles of loosehead and tighthead prop, respectively. Lana Skeldon will maintain her position at hooker, with Louise McMillan and Sarah Bonar forming the second-row partnership.

The back row sees captain Rachel Malcolm joined by Rachel McLachlan, while Jade Konkel returns to her familiar position of number eight.

In the backline, Meryl Smith transitions from center to stand-off, pairing with Caity Mattinson, who makes her comeback after recovering from a serious neck injury incurred during the Guinness Six Nations earlier this year.

After her recent Olympic experience with the GB Sevens, Lisa Thomson returns to the inside center position, having missed the previous weekend’s match against Wales, while Emma Orr continues in the outside center role.

The back three includes Coreen Grant, Chloe Rollie—who scored twice in the match against Wales—and Sevens specialist Rhona Lloyd.

The bench is prepared with forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher ready to contribute. Backs replacements feature last weekend’s debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and the notable Lucia Scott, along with Helen Nelson, who can offer experience if needed.

The match will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app in the UK, with coverage available on the Scottish Rugby website for international viewers.
