Scotland Women’s Team Revamps for Fijiana Showdown!

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has revealed a revised starting lineup for their final Vodafone Series match against Fijiana on Sunday, making eight changes to the team with one positional adjustment.

Anne Young and Elliann Clarke will both earn their first starting caps for Scotland as loosehead and tighthead props, respectively, while Lana Skeldon remains at hooker. Louise McMillan and Sarah Bonar will take positions in the second row.

The back row has been reorganized, with captain Rachel Malcolm partnering with Rachel McLachlan, and Jade Konkel returning to her customary number eight position.

In the backs, Meryl Smith shifts from center to stand-off, partnering with Caity Mattinson, who makes a comeback following a serious neck injury incurred during the Guinness Six Nations earlier this year.

Lisa Thomson, who recently competed in the Olympics with GB Sevens, will return at inside center after missing last weekend’s victory over Wales. Emma Orr will continue in the outside center role.

The back three will feature Coreen Grant, Chloe Rollie—who scored two tries against Wales last Friday—and Rhona Lloyd, another player with Sevens experience.

On the bench, forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher are prepared to make an impact, while replacements in the backs include debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and the impressive Lucia Scott, along with Helen Nelson, who can provide reliable support if needed.

Fans can watch the match live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app in the UK, as well as on the Scottish Rugby website for international viewers.
