Scotland Women Unveil Major Line-Up Changes Ahead of Fijiana Clash

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has announced a significant reshuffle for the final Vodafone Series match against Fijiana on Sunday, making eight changes to the starting lineup along with one positional adjustment.

Anne Young and Elliann Clarke are set to make their first starts for Scotland, taking on the roles of loosehead and tighthead prop, respectively. Lana Skeldon will continue at hooker, with Louise McMillan and Sarah Bonar forming the second row partnership.

The back row sees a new configuration, featuring captain Rachel Malcolm, Rachel McLachlan, and Jade Konkel, who returns to her customary position of number eight.

In the backs, Meryl Smith is shifting from centre to stand-off, where she will pair with Caity Mattinson, who is back after recovering from a severe neck injury sustained during the Guinness Six Nations earlier in the year.

Lisa Thomson, back from her Olympic run with GB Sevens, joins the starting XV at inside centre, having missed last weekend’s victory over Wales. Emma Orr will maintain her position at outside centre.

The back three includes Coreen Grant, Chloe Rollie—who found the try zone twice against Wales—and experienced Sevens player Rhona Lloyd.

On the bench, forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher are prepared to contribute, while the backline substitutes feature last week’s debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and Lucia Scott, alongside Helen Nelson, who can provide vital experience if required.

The match will be available for live streaming on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app in the UK, along with coverage on the Scottish Rugby website for international viewers.

Scotland’s lineup includes: Chloe Rollie, Rhona Lloyd, Emma Orr, Lisa Thomson, Coreen Grant, Meryl Smith, Caity Mattinson; Anne Young, Lana Skeldon, Elliann Clarke, Louise McMillan, Sarah Bonar, Rachel Malcolm, Rachel McLachlan, Jade Konkel.
