Scotland Women Shake Up Squad for Fijiana Showdown!

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has made significant changes to the team ahead of their final Vodafone Series match against Fijiana on Sunday, introducing eight new players and one positional adjustment to the starting line-up.

Anne Young and Elliann Clarke will be making their debut starts for Scotland in the loosehead and tighthead prop positions, respectively. Lana Skeldon continues as hooker, while Louise McMillan partners with Sarah Bonar in the second row.

The back row has been revamped, with captain Rachel Malcolm joined by Rachel McLachlan and Jade Konkel returning to her usual position as number eight.

In the backline, Meryl Smith shifts from center to stand-off, where she will partner with Caity Mattinson, who returns following a serious neck injury sustained during the Guinness Six Nations earlier in the year.

Lisa Thomson, recently featured in the Olympics with GB Sevens, returns at inside center after missing last week’s victory over Wales. Emma Orr maintains her role at outside center.

The back three will include Coreen Grant, Chloe Rollie—who scored two tries against Wales—and Sevens specialist Rhona Lloyd.

On the bench, forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher are poised to make an impact, while backs replacements consist of last weekend’s debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and Lucia Scott, along with Helen Nelson, who can offer experience if necessary.

The match will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app in the UK, as well as on the Scottish Rugby website for international viewers.
