Scotland Women Shake Up Lineup for Fijiana Clash!

Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has made significant changes to the squad ahead of their final Vodafone Series match against Fijiana on Sunday, implementing eight player substitutions and one positional adjustment in the starting lineup.

Anne Young and Elliann Clarke are set to make their first starts for Scotland in the loosehead and tighthead prop positions, respectively. Lana Skeldon will continue at hooker, joined in the second row by Louise McMillan and Sarah Bonar.

The back row features a revised setup, with captain Rachel Malcolm alongside Rachel McLachlan, while Jade Konkel returns to her traditional number eight position.

In the backline, Meryl Smith transitions from centre to stand-off, partnering with Caity Mattinson, who makes her comeback following a serious neck injury incurred during the Guinness Six Nations earlier this year.

Lisa Thomson, who recently competed at the Olympics with the GB Sevens team, re-enters the starting XV at inside centre after missing the previous week’s victory over Wales. Emma Orr will continue in the outside centre role.

The back three includes Coreen Grant and Chloe Rollie, the latter of whom scored twice in the recent match against Wales, along with Rhona Lloyd, another player with Sevens experience.

The bench comprises forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher, all ready to contribute during the match. The backs on the bench include last weekend’s debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and the impressive Lucia Scott, alongside Helen Nelson, who offers added experience.

The match will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app in the UK, as well as on the Scottish Rugby website for international viewers.

Scotland’s starting lineup includes Chloe Rollie, Rhona Lloyd, Emma Orr, Lisa Thomson, Coreen Grant, Meryl Smith, and Caity Mattinson; with Anne Young, Lana Skeldon, Elliann Clarke, Louise McMillan, Sarah Bonar, Rachel Malcolm, Rachel McLachlan, and Jade Konkel. The replacements are Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, Evie Gallagher, Leia Brebner-Holden, Helen Nelson, and Lucia Scott.
