Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has stated that the performance of teachers in schools is monitored by the heads of those schools. In response to a query from Opposition MP Hem Chand, Radrodro emphasized that school heads are qualified individuals who understand the teaching and learning plans implemented in their institutions, regardless of their distance from larger educational centers.

Radrodro highlighted the essential role these heads play in overseeing and supporting both teachers and students within their schools. He outlined the teaching hour requirements, specifying that early childhood education demands a minimum of 20 hours weekly, primary education requires 35 hours, and secondary education necessitates 37.5 hours each week.

Addressing the shortage of teachers in specific subjects, Radrodro pointed out that this issue is not new and attributed part of the responsibility for the current situation to Hem Chand’s previous role in managing human resources. He reassured that efforts are underway to ensure that necessary teachers are provided to meet the needs of various schools.
