Authorities have arrested three students from two different schools in connection with drug-related offenses. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Livai Driu, has expressed appreciation for the proactive role educators played in bringing this situation to light, highlighting their importance as community stakeholders in maintaining safety.
“We applaud the teachers, one of our stakeholders who are assisting us in keeping everyone’s safe, and we will let the law take its course,” stated ACP Driu.
Additionally, a separate school is under investigation following the discovery of smoking paraphernalia in the dining hall, which was promptly reported to the police by the school manager. This incident underscores the critical role that educational institutions and their staff play in fostering a safe environment for students.
While these events may seem troubling, they present an opportunity for schools to recommit to substance abuse education and prevention programs, supporting the overall wellbeing of their students and community.
