The Year 13 examination results are set to be released today, and the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) is calling on students preparing for the 2024 academic year to register and apply for Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year as soon as possible.
Avinay Kumar, the acting chief executive officer of TSLS, emphasizes the importance of early applications, as some scholarships have specific quotas. The registration period began on December 2, 2024, and will conclude on January 31, 2025. Kumar advises students who have already registered to promptly upload their Year 13 examination results along with their final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI), stating that TSLS will not evaluate applications based on provisional offer letters.
Kumar encourages potential applicants to complete their registration and application processes in a timely manner, as these will be assessed against set eligibility criteria. Notifications regarding application outcomes will be communicated via email and can also be checked on the TSLS Online Application Portal.
To help students make informed decisions regarding their academic programs, TSLS urges careful consideration of job market availability. For detailed eligibility criteria and additional information on various scholarship options, applicants can refer to the 2025 Community Awareness Handbook available on the TSLS website and their social media platforms.
This initiative is an excellent opportunity for students to secure financial support for their higher education, indicating a strong support system aimed at fostering educational advancement in the community. As the scholarship application period opens, it reflects a commitment to investing in the future of Fiji’s youth and enhancing their career prospects.
