The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced the opening of registrations for Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year, which began on the 2nd of this month. This announcement comes following the release of the Year 13 examination results.
Applicants who have already registered are encouraged to upload their Year 13 exam results along with their final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI). It is important to note that TSLS will not consider applications submitted with provisional offer letters from TEIs.
Avinay Kumar, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of TSLS, reminded those who have not yet registered that applications will close on January 31st of the following year. He emphasized the importance of timely registration, especially for 2024 Year 13 students, as certain scholarships may have limited availability.
Once a student successfully completes and submits their application, it will progress to the assessment phase to determine eligibility. Applicants will receive updates on the status of their applications via the email they provided during registration, and they can also check their application status through the TSLS Online Application Portal.
TSLS further advises students to make informed decisions regarding their academic programs by considering the job market’s current opportunities.
This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to supporting students’ educational aspirations and encouraging them to pursue careers with promising job prospects in the future. With a range of scholarship opportunities available, students are urged to take proactive steps in securing their educational funding.
In summary, the TSLS is currently inviting applications for government scholarships, stressing the importance of early registration and careful program selection to ensure a successful academic future.
