The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) is urging students to register and apply for Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year, coinciding with the release of Year 13 results today. TSLS acting chief executive officer Avinay Kumar emphasized the importance of early application, as some scholarships have limited quotas.

Registration began on December 2, 2024, and will close on January 31, 2025. Kumar advised applicants to upload their Year 13 examination results along with a final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) to complete their applications. It is important to note that provisional offer letters will not be accepted.

Kumar encouraged students to promptly complete the registration process and submit their applications, which will be assessed based on eligibility criteria. Notifications regarding the outcomes will be sent via email, and applicants can also track their application status through the TSLS Online Application Portal.

Furthermore, Kumar highlighted the significance of choosing academic programs that align with market job opportunities. For those seeking more information, the 2025 Community Awareness Handbook can be accessed on the TSLS website and their social media platforms.

This initiative is a great opportunity for students to plan their future effectively and secure financial support for their higher education.

In summary, students are encouraged to act quickly in the scholarship application process to ensure they do not miss out on available funding and support while considering their career paths.
