Following the recent removal of Lynda Tabuya from her position as Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection, Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu has praised the Prime Minister for his decisive action. However, he raised serious concerns regarding potential criminal activity and a possible cover-up involving both Tabuya and Barbara Malimali, the Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC).

Seruiratu noted that Tabuya had previously claimed to be divorced from Robert Semaan since 2016, which exempted her from declaring his assets.
