Sanatan World Cup Controversy: Chairman Fights False Claims Before Sydney Event

Subhas Sharma, the Chairman of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, has addressed various allegations regarding the event scheduled to take place in Sydney next month. With a rival organization also hosting a separate Sanatan World Cup event in the city, Sharma urged participants and the public to disregard misleading claims that the tournament at Blacktown Spartans Sporting Complex has been canceled.

“This campaign is an unnecessary effort by the competing organization to disrupt a well-organized event,” he stated. He criticized the rival group for focusing on negative publicity instead of promoting their own event positively after they broke away from the original organizers in April.

Sharma reassured participants and the public that the Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport Incorporated, the event’s host, has the full backing of the Shri Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji. He also confirmed that the Rams Group of Companies is sponsoring the 10th Sanatan World Cup, which has received official sanctioning from Football NSW through the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association, with which Australia Fiji Football Inc (AuFFI) is affiliated.

“We are an affiliated member of AuFFI, and the sanctioning of our tournament is confirmed,” Sharma added. He noted that there have been additional unfounded allegations made against the Sanatan World Cup board members, but these do not impact the participants. He emphasized that they intend to take legal action to resolve these issues and uphold the integrity of Sanatan values.
