Sanatan World Cup Chairman Addresses Controversy Ahead of Sydney Showdown

The Chairman of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, Subhas Sharma, has addressed several allegations regarding the event scheduled to take place in Sydney next month. He expressed his concerns about another organization hosting a separate Sanatan World Cup in the same city and urged participants and the public to dismiss the misinformation suggesting that the event at Blacktown Spartans Sporting Complex has been canceled.

“This is a completely unwarranted campaign by the rival organization aimed at undermining a well-organized event,” Sharma stated. He criticized the rival group’s focus on spreading falsehoods instead of promoting their event positively since breaking away from the original organization in April.

Sharma reassured participants and the public that the Australian Sanatan Youth & Sport Incorporated, the event’s official hosts, has the full backing of the Shri Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji. He also confirmed that the Rams Group of Companies, a sponsor of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, has received official sanctioning from Football NSW through its Southern Districts Soccer Football Association branch, with which Australia Fiji Football Inc (AuFFI) is affiliated.

“We are an affiliated member of AuFFI, and our tournament’s sanctioning is assured,” he added. Additionally, Sharma mentioned that various baseless allegations against the Sanatan World Cup board members will not impact participants. The board plans to pursue legal action to protect their reputation and uphold the dignity of Sanatan values.
