Samoa secured a convincing victory over Tonga, winning 43-17 during their second match of the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup at Apia Park today. Following a disappointing 42-16 defeat to Fiji last week, Samoa rebounded with a much-improved performance characterized by discipline and commitment from the players.

The Samoan team led 17-0 at halftime and continued to assert their dominance throughout the second half, despite Tonga’s attempts to score. Samoa will now await the outcome of the upcoming Fiji-Tonga match to determine their qualification for the Pacific Nations Cup semifinals.
