Samoa returned to form in the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup by defeating Tonga 43-17 in their second match held at Apia Park today. Following a significant 42-16 loss to Fiji last week in Suva, the Samoan team showed resilience and a much-improved performance with enhanced discipline and commitment during the challenging game.

Samoa took control early, leading 17-0 at halftime and continued to dominate in the second half, even though Tonga managed to score some points. Samoa will now await the outcome of the Fiji-Tonga match next week to determine their qualification for the semifinals of the PNC.
