Samoa made a strong comeback in the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, defeating Tonga 43-17 during their second match at Apia Park today.

Following a challenging 42-16 defeat to Fiji last week in Suva, the Samoan team showcased significant improvement, exhibiting good discipline and a high level of commitment from players throughout the intense match.

Samoa took a commanding lead, finishing the first half at 17-0 and continued to assert their dominance in the second half, despite Tonga making attempts to score.

Now, Samoa awaits the outcome of the upcoming Fiji-Tonga match next week to determine their qualification for the PNC semifinals.
