Rumors Swirl: Is Ben Affleck Moving On?

Rumors of a potential romance between Ben Affleck and Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy emerged over the weekend, but a spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actor dismissed these claims as unfounded.

“The rumors are not true,” stated Affleck’s representative, Jen Allen, in a conversation with Fox News Digital.

Reports earlier in the week suggested that Affleck and Kennedy had been spending time together since spring, with sources telling People magazine that Kennedy has long had an affinity for the actor. “Kick’s celeb crush has always been Ben,” an insider revealed.

Kennedy has previously been associated with various figures, including Harper Simon, the son of musician Paul Simon, and the deceased billionaire banking heir Matthew Mellon.

Despite being in the midst of his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, Affleck appears to be in good spirits. A photo obtained by Fox News Digital captures the “Argo” actor smiling while picking up a food delivery outside his rental home in Los Angeles.

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles County Court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She listed their date of separation as April 26 and expressed that neither she nor Affleck desired spousal support. Notably, Lopez filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony.

Affleck and Lopez initially became engaged in 2002 after meeting on the set of their film “Gigli.” They were set to marry in 2004, but the wedding was called off. Two decades later, they surprised fans with a marriage in Las Vegas.

Speculation regarding their separation began earlier this year, notably when they went 47 days without being seen together. The situation gained more attention when Affleck did not attend Lopez’s extravagant “Bridgerton”-themed 55th birthday party on July 2.

Affleck recently reflected on the intense public scrutiny he faced during his early relationship with Lopez in the documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
