The Fijian Drua has unveiled a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” authored by renowned rugby commentator Greg Clark and veteran sports journalist Norman Tasker.
This publication chronicles the history and development of the club over the past 25 years, focusing on its establishment during the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent ascent in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
The book highlights the challenging journey of the Drua, emphasizing the efforts made by the team, players, and staff to relocate and eventually return to Fiji. It serves as a heartfelt tribute to the resilience and commitment of all those associated with the team, including players, coaches, sponsors, and fans, who are celebrated as some of the best in the world.
Beyond the team’s on-field accomplishments, the book captures the passion and spirit that have driven their success. It includes exclusive interviews, insights, and behind-the-scenes stories, accompanied by unique photographs that have not been published before.
Set to be released on October 11th, the book will be available at various retail outlets, with a price of FJ$35 for the paperback edition and FJ$50 for the hardback version.
