The FIC Dravo rugby team achieved a remarkable victory at the Taras Supermarket Tailevu Rugby 10S Tournament 2025, winning the championship with a nail-biting 3-0 score against FA & CO Mokani in a sudden death penalty drop goal. Their triumph reflects the dedication and skill of the players, earning them a cash prize of $1,000.

In the women’s division, the Nausori Women’s Team dominated the Glamada Investment Women’s Championship, decisively defeating Vugalei Women’s Team with an impressive 17-0 scoreline. This victory awarded them $300 in cash and the esteemed Kamikamica Trophy, solidifying their status as champions.

Malakai Yamaivava, the chairman of the Tailevu Rugby Union club games, expressed his satisfaction with the event, noting that it brought together 32 teams over two weekends for a highly competitive atmosphere. He praised the turnout of supporters and emphasized the important role community involvement plays in fostering local rugby.

Looking ahead, the focus will now shift to the upcoming club games competition, with a meeting set for June 23 to confirm the kick-off date. Yamaivava acknowledged the contributions of all stakeholders, including local businesses and organizations, as integral to the tournament’s success.
