The Ovalau Rugby Union has forged a significant partnership with sportswear brand Beyond Limits Known (BLK), a collaboration that is set to bolster rugby development in Levuka as the highly anticipated Vanua Championship approaches in September. The partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony held at the BLK store in Suva.
BLK has committed to supporting the Ovalau Rugby team by supplying off-kit apparel valued at $5,000 for the upcoming season. Malakai Yamaivava, a sales consultant for BLK, expressed their pride in being selected as the official apparel supplier, emphasizing their commitment to the success of the team.
In a commendable initiative, 20% of the sales from official team merchandise purchased by fans will be directly donated to the Ovalau Rugby Union. This financial support aims to assist the team with its operational expenses and development endeavors, highlighting the importance of community involvement in sports.
Siteri Kivi, a representative from BLK, conveyed gratitude to the Ovalau Rugby Union for the partnership, expressing hope for continued collaboration in the future. Meanwhile, Sovani Saunitoga, a community member associated with the team, echoed these sentiments, reflecting on BLK’s longstanding commitment to Ovalau Rugby over the past few years and the positive impact of this ongoing partnership.
