Exciting matches took place on Saturday during the Suva Rugby Union club games at the USP grounds in Suva.

In the sixth round of the FMF Koroturaga competition, Covenant Red triumphed over Kalokolevu Green with a score of 12-0. Meanwhile, Nabua White achieved a victory against the Taha team, finishing 17-10, and Queen Victoria School Old Boys won decisively against Fiji National University, 25-5.

Draunivau Sharks also celebrated a win against Kalekana, ending the match at 20-0. In contrast, Nakavu faced defeat at the hands of Savura, with a score of 20-45.

In the FMF Escott Shield’s ninth round, Marist OB emerged victorious over Raiwaqa, winning 25-15. Lami Cavaliers secured a narrow victory against Eastern Saints, finishing 7-5, while Naqarani edged out USP with a close 19-18 outcome. However, Covenant Blues experienced a loss against Freshet Nazy, with a score of 22-11.

Freshet Navy also celebrated a victory as they secured the Mosese Taga Shield.

As the round-robin matches progress in the Suva club games, the competition is expected to heat up in the upcoming matches next week at the same venue.
