Rugby Showdown: Will Newcomers Dethrone the Giants?

Eight teams have advanced through the challenging elimination rounds and are now gearing up for the Vodafone Cup National Quarterfinals, vying for a place in the semifinals. Among the teams competing are the formidable Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the competitive Saru Dragons.

This competition marks a significant milestone for the Laselase Cowboys and Topline Warriors, who are making their first appearance at this level.

FNRL Executive Chairman, Akuila Masi, is encouraging all fans to come out and support their teams. “This weekend is going to be an exciting chapter in our rugby league history,” Masi remarked. “These teams have put in a lot of effort to reach this stage, and they deserve all the encouragement possible. It’s set to be a day filled with intense competition and thrilling rugby.”

The fixtures for the quarterfinals at Lawaqa Park are as follows:
– 9:00 am: Warwick Vusu Raiders vs. Topline Warriors
– 11:00 am: Dee Cees Nadera Panthers vs. Waitaci Titans
– 1:00 pm: Ravoravo Rabbitohs vs. Laselase Cowboys
– 3:00 pm: Navy Albatross vs. Saru Dragons

The Vodafone Cup National Quarterfinals will take place this Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, starting at 9:00 am.
