The national semifinals of the Vodafone Cup are set to take place this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The matchups have been determined following last weekend’s quarterfinals, during which notable teams such as the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the Saru Dragons were eliminated from the tournament.

In one of the semifinal matches, the Waitaci Titans will go head-to-head with the Navy Albatross, who secured a victory over the defending champions, the Saru Dragons, with a score of 27-18. Additionally, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs will compete against the Vusu Raiders, both teams looking to earn their positions in the finals.

FNRL Executive Chairman Akuila Masi expressed his excitement for the upcoming matches, stating, “Last weekend was a spectacle of rugby league talent, and we’re anticipating the semi-finals will raise the bar even higher. We invite everyone to come and experience the thrill and cheer on their favorite teams.”

The semifinals will also feature the FNRL Women’s Premiership, concurrently taking place, with the Lami Steelers facing the Yasawa Saints and the Namoli West Tigers going up against the Police Sharks. This double-header is expected to deliver an entire day of rugby league excitement for fans in Nausori.
