The Fiji Police Force rugby team is gearing up for a fierce contest as they aim to retain the prestigious Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl. This was emphasized during a recent visit to their training camp in Nadi by Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew and senior command members.

According to the Fiji Police Force’s official Facebook page, Police Rugby President Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mesake Waqa conveyed that the players and officials are fully dedicated to defending the title for their organization, their families, and their supporters.

The Shop N Save Police Blues rugby team is brimming with enthusiasm as they prepare for the crucial match against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Waqa stressed the importance of humility, acknowledging that both teams are motivated and well-prepared for victory.

As the Fiji Police Force commemorates its 150th Anniversary, the focus remains on excellence in preparation, aiming to field the strongest team possible while representing family, friends, and past and present officers.

Acknowledging the tough challenge ahead, Waqa expressed good wishes to the RFMF, emphasizing the mutual respect between the teams. He also urged police supporters to come out and cheer for their teams, highlighting the spirit of camaraderie in this annual tournament, which kicks off next Tuesday with a boxing competition.

Overall, the fervor and determination displayed by the Fiji Police Force rugby team serve as an inspiring reminder of community spirit and commitment to excellence in sports. As the competition approaches, both teams can look forward to showcasing their talents and fostering goodwill through sportsmanship.
