Rugby Shake-Up: Fiji Union’s High-Performance Chief Steps Down

BJ Mather has resigned from his position as the General Manager of the Fiji Rugby Union High-Performance Unit due to personal reasons. Peter Mazey, the Chairman of the FRU Trust Board, has acknowledged Mather’s resignation and plans to discuss it in more detail. Mather was recently part of the Flying Fijians’ team during the Pacific Nations Cup finals. In the interim, Bill Gadolo will assume the role of Acting HPU General Manager. Mazey also mentioned that the position will be advertised, as it is funded by World Rugby. He expressed his hope that Gadolo, who has served as Mather’s understudy along with Simon, would take on the permanent role.
