BJ Mather has resigned from his position as General Manager of the Fiji Rugby Union High-Performance Unit due to personal commitments. Peter Mazey, Chairman of the FRU Trust Board, confirmed Mather’s resignation and stated that he intends to further discuss the matter. Mather recently accompanied the Flying Fijians to the finals of the Pacific Nations Cup.

In the interim, Bill Gadolo will serve as Acting HPU General Manager. Mazey also announced that the position will be open for applications since it is funded by World Rugby. “We are required to advertise the position because it’s a World Rugby paid role. When it is advertised, I hope Bill takes over, as he has been BJ’s and Simon’s understudy, and I’m looking forward to working with him,” Mazey remarked.
