Nilesh Singh, the Founder of Niltech Consulting, acknowledged that his company’s collaboration with the Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) reached a significant milestone when he organized a visit to his former school, Suva Grammar, with six players from the Queensland Reds. As a proud alumnus of Suva Grammar, Singh was delighted to connect the internationally recognized rugby team with the institution where his passion for the sport originated.
The Reds’ visit to Suva in May 2024, during their match against the Fijian Drua, marked a pivotal moment in the partnership, which had only commenced three months earlier. Singh’s collaboration with the Reds has now been extended for an additional year, allowing Niltech Consulting’s logo to remain visible on the team’s playing and training shorts, as well as the Queensland sevens squad.
Reflecting on the arrangement, Singh expressed satisfaction, stating, “The partnership has surpassed all expectations. We are very pleased, and long may it continue.” He noted that the sponsorship has greatly benefitted Niltech Consulting, a digital transformation firm with locations in Brisbane, Malaysia, and soon East Timor.
After the Reds achieved a significant victory against the Crusaders, Singh observed that the visibility of their logo resonated with fans, further reinforcing the effectiveness of the partnership. He emphasized that the relationship was not merely corporate; it also fostered personal connections and mutual respect, highlighting the impact the players had on the students at his former school.
Notably, six Reds players visited Suva Grammar instead of the planned three, greatly inspiring the students from various age groups. Singh expressed confidence that among these young talents, some may eventually emerge as future Super Rugby Pacific players.
The visit featured prop Peni Ravai offering guidance to the First XV prop alongside other Reds stars, including Seru Uru, Suliasi Vunivalu, and Hunter Paisami, who all actively engaged with the students. Singh pointed out that the partnership underscores a commitment to nurturing rugby in both Australia and Fiji and inspiring the next generation of players.
