Eight teams have advanced from the challenging elimination rounds to compete in the Vodafone Cup National Quarterfinals, vying for a place in the semifinals. Among the competitors are the formidable Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the consistently competitive Saru Dragons. Additionally, the Laselase Cowboys and Topline Warriors will be making their debut at this level of the tournament.
FNRL Executive Chairman, Akuila Masi, is urging fans to rally support for their teams. “This weekend will mark an exciting chapter in our rugby league history,” Masi stated. “These teams have put in immense effort to reach this point, and they deserve all the backing they can get. It promises to be a day filled with intense competition and outstanding rugby play.”
The quarterfinal matches at Lawaqa Park are scheduled as follows:
– 9:00 am: Warwick Vusu Raiders vs. Topline Warriors
– 11:00 am: Dee Cees Nadera Panthers vs. Waitaci Titans
– 1:00 pm: Ravoravo Rabbitohs vs. Laselase Cowboys
– 3:00 pm: Navy Albatross vs. Saru Dragons
The Vodafone Cup National Quarterfinals will kick off this Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, starting at 9:00 am.
