Rugby Rivals Ready to Clash at Nakavika Youth 7s!

The first Nakavika Youth 7s tournament in Namosi is set to be an exhilarating display of rugby talent, with 32 teams ready to compete in the three-day event starting Wednesday and concluding on Friday.

Tournament secretary Merewai Serukeitoga shared her excitement about hosting this competition in Namosi for the inaugural time, emphasizing the importance of providing a platform for young players to showcase their abilities.

“This is the first competition in Namosi, and we are thrilled to bring this tournament together,” Serukeitoga stated. “This tournament is designed primarily for the youth, giving them the opportunity to come together and play rugby while also gaining recognition in the sport.”

The tournament will feature teams from Serua as well as several from Suva, ensuring thrilling rugby action throughout the event. Additionally, four women’s teams and six mixed volleyball teams will participate, adding to the event’s excitement.

Food stalls will be present at the venue, encouraging everyone to come out and support their favorite teams.

The matches will be organized into eight pools:
– Pool A: Liganibai Saliadrau, St. Michael Navunikabi, St. Gabriel Nakavika, Nakorowai Brothers
– Pool B: Nasamama Brothers, Muana Exile, St. Gabriel, Seniniu
– Pool C: Seniniu One, Veinuqa Babas, Bula Brothers
– Pool D: Seniqumu, Seniwaulo Wainiyavu, Untouch Fiji, Cakaunivalu
– Pool E: Veivatuloa, Veinuqa Babas, Matababani, St. Paul Navunikabi
– Pool F: Seniqumu, Nasamama Brothers, St. Gabriel, Nuku
– Pool G: Seniboro, Wailevu Brothers, Bula Brothers, Nakavu
– Pool H: Senibua Two, Vakacegu Brothers, Seniwaqiri, Untouch Wainadoi.
