Lajipa Naulivou, a pioneering figure in Fiji women’s rugby, has been appointed to the Fiji Rugby Union Board of Directors. As the inaugural captain of the Fijiana XV rugby team, she brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to promoting inclusivity within the sport.

Naulivou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Public Administration, as well as Applied Psychology and Sports Psychology. With over 20 years of experience in her field, she has actively worked on developing sports initiatives at the University of the South Pacific.

In her new role as Director of Rugby 2, Naulivou succeeds Conway Begg, who stepped down from the position last week. Her appointment is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the representation and involvement of women in rugby in Fiji.
