Pacific Energy has announced a new three-year partnership with Fijian rugby legend Waisale Serevi, who will serve as the company’s official brand ambassador. This collaboration aims to enhance the company’s mission of promoting positive community values while supporting Serevi’s initiative to combat drug use in Fiji.

Stephane Cadel, Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Energy, expressed pride in bringing Serevi onboard, noting that he embodies the company’s motto, “We are who you are.” Cadel highlighted Serevi’s commitment as essential for promoting this message throughout the community. He stated, “As a former top-level sportsman, he is a champion. He is a winner and knows the price of effort and hard work.”

Through this partnership, Serevi’s “Say No to Drugs” campaign will gain crucial support from Pacific Energy, helping to combat substance abuse. Serevi remarked on the urgency of addressing drug-related issues in Fiji, emphasizing the importance of fostering a safe environment for youth. He shared gratitude for Pacific Energy’s support, which will allow his Serevi Rugby Academy to provide free rugby training and mentorship to young people, especially those at risk of drug abuse. “We need to advocate for kids in Fiji. The future lies in our youth, children, and grandchildren, and we must stand up for them,” Serevi said.

This initiative signifies a positive step towards creating a healthier, more resilient future for the youth of Fiji. By leveraging the influence of Serevi—who is widely regarded as a hero in rugby and a mentor for young athletes—Pacific Energy and the Serevi Academy aim to inspire change and promote constructive lifestyles among the younger generation. The partnership serves as a hopeful beacon, illustrating the potential for sports to uplift communities and provide youth with the guidance they need to make positive life choices.
